Q. How do I search for a book in the catalog?

From the Library Homepage, use the SouthernSearch search box and choose SCSU Catalog (Books & Collections) from the dropdown menu. Enter the title, author, or keywords for the book you want to find.

On the results page, use the filters on the left side to narrow your search:

• Books (under Resource Types) limits your results to books, ebooks, reports, and similar materials.
• Available at SCSU shows only items that are available through the library, including physical books located on the shelves.
• Location allows you to choose a specific collection, such as Reference or Main Circulating Stacks.
• You can also filter results by author, publication date, and language.

For more specific searches, select Advanced Search to search by title, author, or other options.
