Q. How can I borrow and renew library materials?

To borrow materials, you can either go to the Checkout Desk on the main floor of the library and have them check it out to you or you can use our self-checkout stations opposite the Checkout Desk and check them out yourself by following the instructions on the kiosk.

You can renew books online by going to "My Account" on the top right in the blue bar of the library home page, and signing in to your account with your Southern login. You will see "loans" in the overview page and the books that you have checked out. Next to each title you will see "renew". You can renew single items or renew all books. You can only renew if the book is due for renewal or if it can be renewed.
