Q. Is there a way to search for .edu or .gov sites only?

Yes! If you go to the Google Advanced Search and then scroll down a little, you'll see a box that says "site or domain". That's where you can easily eliminate .com results.

In the regular Google Search, you can also type site:.edu or site:.gov along with your search words.
