How do renewals work?

  • Most eligible items renew automatically until the maximum number of renewals is reached.
  • You'll receive an email if your item is successfully renewed.
  • Interlibrary Loan due dates and renewals are set by the lending library. Check the book strap or your ILLiad account for details.

Can a checked-out book be recalled?

Yes. Library books may be recalled after they have been checked out for two weeks. If another user places a hold on the item, you must return it within 14 days.

How many items can I borrow?

  • You may borrow up to 50 items from Buley Library.
  • You may borrow up to 30 items from other CSCU libraries and the Connecticut State Library.
