    Your HootLoot/ID card is your library card. Go to the Card Office.
  • look up a book?
    SouthernSearch is available online, on the Library Homepage, and on Catalog Computer Kiosks on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd floors of the Library.
  • find a book with the call number....?
    Main circulating stacks books are on the 2nd (A-PN) and 3rd (PN-Z) floors. Oversized, Juvenile, and Curriculum Collection books are on the 3rd floor. Reference and Media are on the 1st floor. See Call Numbers and Locations for more information.
  • check out a book?
    The Circulation Desk is on the 1st floor of the Library.
  • ask for help?
    The Reference Desk is on the 1st floor of the Library. You can also Ask Us, via this site, text, chat, email, or phone.
  • pay a fine?
    The Circulation Desk is on the 1st floor of the Library.
  • get a poster printed or laminated?
    The LRC/Media Center is on the first floor in the circulation area. Check the hours, prices, and file formats, and get the order form at http://libguides.southernct.edu/lrc.
  • reset my computer or MySCSU/Blackboard password?
    The Office of Information Technology has a Help Desk on the first floor of the library.
  • print?
    Either print from one of the library computers or upload your document to the Print Center. There are three print stations on the first floor of the library. Double-sided printing is the default.
  • print in color?
    A color printer (single- and double-sided) is on the 1st floor next to the black and white printer closest to the library entrance.
